Travel Time - Australia Here I Come

Departing on February 1st, 2008 - roughly 6pm - Toronto
The countdown has been in full effect for awhile now, I have 11 days to go! I can hardly believe that I'm finally going, after three long years of working, saving, & slaving away!

With this blog, I'm hoping to share with whoever chooses to read it, all of the adventures along the way on my journey to this place I've only dreamed about since forever...First of all, I can't wait to get to warmer weather, this frigid cold is for the birds I think.....Among the things I'm dying to do is to see the animals, koalas & kangas first & foremost, the poisonous, scary things like Huntsman spiders, not so much, in fact, I hope to avoid those at all costs! I want to take in as much as I can in the time that I'll be there, I want to experiences the sights, the sounds, the smells (good ones-ha), the people, the music, the culture, I might even be brave enough to try some of the food....All I know is, by the time I come back, I'll have had my fill of it all & probably be dying for more....
In advance, to any & all of you, thanks, it's my pleasure to share my adventure with all of you, I hope I'll be able to give you lots of interesting reading & insights,
Love Lisa

The food's not that way out, well the everyday stuff. Kangaroo's an acquired taste mind, though not everyone would eat it anyway for any number of reasons (so you'd hardly call it common), pity cos it's much healthier than other red meats.

And while huntsmen are big, it's the smaller poisonous spiders that you need to be more afraid of. Fortunately they're less common.
