A Fun Night - Mardi Gras Parade

The Gay & Lesbian Mardi Gras Parade. Now, having never been to one of these things, I didn't know what to expect. It turned out to be a really fun night!

My most favorite of all the Australian flowers, Frangipani's, the same kind they make Hawaiian leis out of:

How cool, that I actually got this butterfly to land on my hand:
Derek & his lovely Linda, posing on a tank during a walk on Watson's Bay: The magnificent view off a Watson's Bay lookout:

The famous Sydney Opera House, taken during an hour long harbour ferry ride:

More Random Shots

A beautiful water lily, taken at one of the Chinese gardens in Brisbane Australia:

At Janine's house in Blaxland, the cheeky cockatoos showing off for food:
One of the many smiling crocs I saw:
A Bluebottle jellyfish, which I admired from a distance, because the stings are poisonous:
This shot was taken on the road trip of the Great Ocean Road tour:

Some Other Loveable Creatures!

Say what you will about these guys, they're totally cool & always willing to pose for you! :

Whenever I went to the aquariums, these stingrays facinated me the most, because they are so huge, that they look like aliens to me, but so gentle as they go floating along in the water tank:
The 'roos were so fun! But if they ever saw you with a bag of food in your hands, you'd better be prepared to feed them, they'd swarm you like mad! :
Such beautiful & majsestic animals:
Very cool - to see them from a safe distance behind thick glass! :

My Favorite Aussie Animals

They are so, SO much cuter seeing them up close & personal:

Sydney Harbour Bridge Climb - March 1st

Hands down, the COOLEST thing I've ever done! Thanks go to Derek, my brother, who gave this experience to me for my birthday. The views from the top are priceless!

Great Ocean Road Tour in Melbourne Australia

More pictures will continue to pop up, so stay tuned....

Some of my tour mates on a beach:

More Great Ocean Road

Most of these particular shots were taken from a helicopter. Yes, I actually did get talked into getting into one of those things - what a thrill!

These shots were taken from the helicopter that I got talked into going on - I sure don't regret that decision one bit! :

Great Ocean Road Tour - Melbourne

I truly stood in awe of what I was looking at. That this exists just floors me!
